After the Prime Ministers of the region met with the European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker; the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini; the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn; the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, whose country has the turn for EU Presidency, the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has announced a declaration on social network and on his ERTV media source.

“This is the conclusive meeting of the European Commission President, Juncker, High Representative Mogherini and Enlargement Commissioner, Hahn, after their tour in Balkan, with a positive balance, focusing on the Berlin Process discussions for possible funding in the region, where the Adriatic-Ionnian highway is a priority”, Rama declared.

“What needs to be underlined for the Albanian public, is the positive evaluation of these three important EU figures about the preparations of Albania. We expect a positive recommendation and then approval from member countries. This is how this process works, but there is a wide understanding of the first steps made by Albania”, the Prime Minister added.

“The successful police operation had a very positive impact and received maximal recognition, since this is the biggest drug quantity ever caught by Albania, a quantity that had already gone through EU ports, undetected. This operation showed the high integrity of our forces. The first phase of eradicating cannabis was concluded successfully, and now this is the second phase, fighting against any possible traffic”, Rama declared.
