Rama urges Kosovo politicians to find consensus on dialogue with Serbia

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, tonight’s guest on “Open”, on Top Channel, spoke for the first time about the idea of correcting the borders between Kosovo and Serbia.

When asked why he has stayed silent as everyone kept talking about this issue, Rama said that it is up to Kosovo to work for dialogue.

“It is up to the Kosovo authorities to work on a platform for dialogue. I am the last one to comment because there is already an ongoing debate in Kosovo about an idea, not a platform. I have been very clear when I said that I will talk about Kosovo every time it will be necessary, but I have not spoken and will not speak on behalf of Kosovo. We need more than just another debate”, Rama said.

The Prime Minister of Albania said that this matter is very delicate, because it is not just about Kosovo, but about the nation of Albanians.

“Albania has the obligation to support Kosovo and we will wait and see what they will decide. They must make a proper strategic talk, because such an occasion may not repeat itself for the next 30 years. Albanians must discuss as real men, with consensus, not just for creating conflicts between each other”, Rama said.
