The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, arrived this Monday in Berlin in
an official visit. The most important meeting of the Prime Minister’s
agenda is that of this Tuesday with the German Chancellor, Angela
Merkel, with whom he will have a joint press release.
Top Channel’s journalist, Rovena Mocka, reports from Berlin that the delegation of the Albanian government and the Prime Minister will be received with highest protocol honors.
The meeting with Merkel will start with a military ceremony, and will continue with a meeting between both delegations and then with a business lunch. The press release will be right after.
This might be considered as the most important visit in Rama’s career so far. He will attend a meeting with the Chief of the Bundestag, the Minister of Finances and other high-rank officials.
This visit comes before Albania is tested once again in Brussels for the European Union candidate status.
Germany is one of the countries that requested a postponement of Albania’s candidate status to this June. After this meeting, Germany is expected to announce its position for the status.
