The Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama visited the Dervican village where he promised the residents to resolve their problems.
Tap water is missing while the rains are flooding the areas around. These were some of the topics discussed by the residents and the opposition leader.
“We get flooded right after it rains, while there is no water in houses. We are the only NATO country that doesn’t have tap water in families”, Rama declared.
To resolve this situation, the Socialist Party leader invited the residents of this area to vote for the Socialist Party and the Albanian Revival program.
Rama: Let’s return tourism to Gjirokaster
The Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, visited the town of Gjirokaster where he promised to give “a new role to Gjirokaster as regards the economic and cultural development through tourism”, adding that it is unacceptable that a place like Gjirokaster has only one month and a half of tourism in one year.
“We must remove its dust and return the lost splendor, so that it can become part of every tourist travel to Albania. If Albania has a problem with tourism today, the problem is that the tourism continues for only a small time each year, a half primitive tourism. If we want tourism for the full year, we can revive it through restoration, by giving Gjirokaster a new role in the economic and cultural development of the country, and we will reach this”, Rama declared.
When one resident asked if there would be an end to high unemployment and people not being able to pay for food and medicine, Rama answered: “Countries around us and in Europe do not have unemployment in such conditions. A small population with such a large richness has always jobs to do. Having this richness around, but still nothing to eat, that’s what happens if Berisha is Prime Minister. He says that we come second after Germany. I met the Chinese Prime Minister and he said: ‘You’re going too fast and catching us up. We don’t know how to justify it with the Chinese people. He walks by the Chinese Wall and the Albanian public television says that he is the leader that has walked more than any other on the Chinese Wall. Sports that only Berisha invents”, Rama declared.
Rama: Attention on employment
During a conversation with students and professors in Gjirokaster, Rama mentioned the employment issue.
“We aim to build 300.000 jobs in four years. Real jobs, not manipulated statistics, like the Prime Minister is unfortunately bringing us today. We believe that there is a potential to employ 150.000 people in farms, 45.000 new general jobs and 12.000 others in production industry”, Rama declared.
