The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, greeted the idea of the Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, to declare 2019 as the year of NATO, in honor of the historic intervention made by the Alliance in Kosovo.
Rama wrote on Twitter that this year also coincides with the 10th anniversary of Albania’s accession.
“I welcome Thaci’s idea to declare 2019 the Year of NATO, 20 years after the historic intervention of the Alliance in Kosovo. This year coincides with Albania’s 10th anniversary of accession. Let’s make the Schengen border day in Morina a peaking moment of this NATO year”, Rama wrote.
