Fight against informality! This will be the main focus of the government on its third 300 days in power. Prime Minister Edi Rama warned the operation won’t stop until the main goal of legalizing the economy is achieved.
He said 600 hundred working groups will be engaged in the operation helped by state police and prosecution officers. Rama described it as similar in substance and consequences like recent operations the government took recently, like illegal energy tackling etc.
The government believes almost half businesses in Albania are not legalized and stressed again this won’t be a war against honest businesses. He also called for the end consumers to request a printed bill every time they make a purchase, as it will serve as a contribution to raise salaries and public investments.
Rama admitted the operation has made an impact on the economy without even starting yet, because of the high number of people registering their activities in the Central Licensing Agency during recent weeks.
