During a meeting with the children of soldiers in foreign missions and
of the fallen police officer, the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama
promised more support for this category.
Rama declared that the government will do everything possible so that the children of fallen officers will not feel the absence of parental care.
After congratulating the children and those present for Christmas and the New Year, Rama declared: “We are aware that we cannot compensate the loss, but we will do everything we can so that these children receive proper education. Today, by government decision, all children of fallen officers will be admitted at the Police Academy without a competition. This is not a violation of competition, but a way to express the conviction that these children have inherited the highest values for service”, Rama declared.
As for the revival of the police, Rama declared that the government has inherited a difficult financial situation.
“We need 2-3 years to increase the salaries of police officers. Police officers in early pension will receive 173.000 ALL more and those with 30 years at their job will have a 400.000 ALL pension”, Rama declared.
