Rama: “Slander, Shullazi used to try to ruin our political meetings”

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, reacted after the declaration of
the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, with an expression of Emanuel
Kant that says: “When you slander about someone else, you say things
that you have done or you plan doing yourself”.

“The slander and accuse us, they accuse me for what they have done themselves. They think that we are the same and that now that we are in government, we will do what they used to do: governing together with the crime, using police as a bridge to the crime, and using criminals to intimidate the opposition”.

Rama reminds the Democratic Party that “It has been documented that the criminal they are accusing them to have ties with has been active in attacking the electoral activities of the Socialist party in 2011”.

For this, the Prime Minister referred to a letter of 6 May 2011, sent by the Secretary for Legal Matters at the Socialist Party, Fatmir Xhafaj, expressing his concern regarding Emiljano Shullazi. The letter said that Shullazi and his gang were acting against the law and the electoral interests by having direct contacts with the Minister of Interior, Bujar Nishani; the General Chief of Police, Agron Kulicaj; the Chief of Tirana Police, Saimir Tahiri, and with the Chief of Police District no.2, Erzen Brecani.

The letter says that these connections have given to these elements the feeling of being untouchable and carry on with their criminal activity.

The letter lists a series of incidents with Emiljano Shullazi as protagonist, the worst of which is with the Socialist candidate, Erion Koka, who had his property damaged by explosive, and the electoral meetings of MPs Besnik Bare and Vasilika Hysi were also attacked by Shullazi.
