“Our government is giving a special importance to the strategic partnership with the United States. The incarnation of this partnership in the NATO, from the trenches of Iraq and Afghanistan and to the peaceful disarming of the Syrian regime, is not only an obligation, but also a source of pride for the Albanian people. We will never forget that thanks to the United States of America, the biggest ally of the Albanians, our people are today better than what they used to be throughout our region”, Rama declared.
The Prime Minister expressed his readiness to give all possible support to the new army leader.
“The Armed Forces are the unchanged bridge which connects our country with the NATO. Through this bridge, Albania has united the fate of the future, the weapons of today and the blood of the new generation, together with the alliance of the countries that are building their daily lives on the priceless values of peace, freedom and democracy”, Rama declared.
General Jeronim Bazo, quoting Winston Churchill, declared that he would put all his dedication to respect the Constitution.
“I will quote the experience leader, Winston Churchill, who said that the successes are not definitive, and failures are not fatal. It’s the human courage what makes the difference. Dear Prime Minister, I value your trust and my appointment as Head of the Armed Forces, and I will take this duty very seriosly. I vow in front of you and all the Armed Forces members that I will give all my dedication to fulfill with integration the requests for this important post”, Bazo declared.
