Today’s relations with the US are the best possible, declared the
Albanian Prime Minister at the meeting with the Albanian-American Fund,
on the 20th anniversary of its creation.
“The help with further democratization of our country and the solution of the Albanian issue in Kosovo are mostly due to the help of the USA. We all have the obligation to build the co-existence that makes possible equal rights for everyone”, Rama declared, quoting a US businessman with the expression that we do not need just ideas, but ideas that can be realized.
“The Fund showed that ideas are valuable when they can be realized. It showed that ideas in Albania can be realized, courage investments can be made with transparence and success”, Rama declared.
The Albanian-American fund marked a new investment chapter in our country, but considering it a success story. 20 years ago it started with an initial capital of 30 million USD, and generated a 300 million USD value.
“More than 7000 jobs have been created and it has contributed with the GDP with 2 billion ALL, directly or indirectly. The investments of the Fund have attracted direct foreign investments with a total of 300 million”, the Prime Minister declared.
