Edi Rama and 16 candidates traveled to the city of Elbasan with the
“Revival Bus”, where the opposition leader declared that the Alliance
for European Albania will have a clear victory in this district.
Rama declared that the Socialist Party has all the chances to win in every district, because the candidate list is balanced with old experienced members, new candidates and indispensable returns”.
This was Rama’s answer about what would happen with the concessions given by the Berisha Government:
“We will make a full review of all the concessions, privatizations and processes that are characterized by strong suspicions or spectacular failures. We have started working with a group of foreign experts who will monitor the privatization data, and also the economic effects of corruptive practices”.
Ben Blushi, who leads the Socialist Party list in Elbasan, gave this answer to Berisha, who called him “Rama’s bus conductor”.
“Our bus is racing against a carriage this time. The difference between us is that Berisha is the coachman, the horse, the whip and the mud, because that’s where their carriage goes all the time. I am convinced that this time we will reach faster to the station of the June 23rd elections, much faster than Berisha’s carriage. We have a lighter load and a more representative team throughout Albania”, Blushi declared.
Rama expressed his readiness to reform the Central Election Commission, which he called an organization of fanatics, adding that if they will dare touching the result, the next move will belong to the people.
“We are ready to reform the Central Election Commission and return its legitimacy. We are ready to participate in this process, where we are present in all other levels, so we can become a guarantee too, if we will have the chance. Otherwise, it is their responsibility and they should keep it. Certainly that it is very bad for the elections and for Albania, but I repeat that this is an exclusive responsibility of the other party”, Rama declared.
Rama also commented PM Berisha’s declaration regarding the visa lift with the United States of America.
“As regards the visa liberalization with the United States of America, this is one of those promises that only Berisha can make, through promises that prove the desperate state of the Democratic Party, and their need to reach an impossible victory by promising everything. If he mentioned the visa liberalization with the United States in the first 30 days of the campaign, I think that in the last 30 days we will start hearing about travels to the moon”, Rama declared.
