Rama proposes “party referendum” for the SP leader, Blushi calls it “crazy idea”

The Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, answered to the accusations of MP
Ben Blushi and called them a campaign of defamation who accuse them of
bringing criminals in Parliament, but the SP, Rama said, has brought
more women in Parliament than any other government.

Rama said that the purpose of these accusations is to throw mud against the reforms undertaken by his cabinet, which, according to him, have taken the country to a new path.

“Let’s make a referendum and let’s allow the Socialist members to decide about my mandate”, Rama proposed.

MP Ben Blushi answered back by saying that the proposition of the Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, to hold a referendum for the party leader, is a crazy idea. Blushi said for the media that the Socialist leader wants to start the party elections without a candidate.

“It is about the craziness of a man who will start the elections without a candidate. He wants to go alone in elections. Edi Rama against Edi Rama. This was not a debate, but a crazy idea. He said he made a mistake and we should have helped him fix it. This is what we are saying. If the party has not been led properly, we should fix this”, Blushi said.

Today’s debate was focused on the works of the next SP Congress. Blushi said that he hopes to have a normal congress, with many propositions. As for the comparison of Rama with Berisha, Blushi said:

“A very weak attack that deserves no answer. I have been living in this country for the past 47 years. There are so many people who can prove that never in my life I have thought or lived like Berisha. Few people have remained in the party who have made a long battle with Berisha. I have my views”, Blushi said.
