07/04/2014 00:00

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, introduced Etjona Hoxha as the
new Prefect of this district, declaring that the governing majority will
fulfill all obligations by building effective institutions.

“We have the courage and determination to see forward and progress faster in order to realize the reviving that Albania needs, the reviving that we promised, and the reviving that Vlora and the Vlora people deserve. We will keep our promises and will change the quality of life for the people in this country. We need to do this for the state. We must make our institutions able to create the conditions for Albania to develop through unemployment, production, education and through all instruments that guarantee a stable development in a normal country”, Rama declared.

“We are determined to resolve the energy crisis, which we inherited from a regime that was based on militantizm”, the Prime Minister declared.

The Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri, who leads an institution that covers the local government, declared that the prefect’s institution needs to be reformed so that citizen services can be even more qualitative.

Besnik Dervishi, on his last speech as prefect, declared that the Vlore District will have project that seemed as impossible. “I am leaving this duty because the Prime Minister has offered me a new one”, he declared.

Etjona Hoxha, the new prefect of Vlore, declared that this introduction is an extraordinary day from the burden of responsibilities that come with his honor, which is being the first female prefect in the history of the city of independence.

“I don’t know if I will fulfill your expectancies, but I will do everything possible to return it through hard work, honesty and concrete results”, she declared.

Manufacturers’ fiscal package, next week

Before the presentation of the Vlore Prefect, Prime Minister Edi Rama visited a manufacturing factory in the Narta region.

“This month we will meet with those who are in this industry to declare the package of measures. We will realize the point that was your concern, reducing risks in Customs. The risk with be low, so that it can last only a few hours”, Rama declared to the factory leaders.

DP: Rama makes show for cameras

The Democratic Party considered Rama’s visit to Vlore as just a show for the camera, since no new jobs have been created in the first seven months of this government. Not in Vlore and not in other cities.

“Seven months after Rama came to power, no new jobs have been created in Vlore. Seven months after coming to power, Vlore saw explosions, while the drug traffic has put the neighboring countries in alarm. Edi Rama is making a show in this situation. He behaves like a conferencer and leads and ugly spectacle by just removing from power a failed prefect. Are the citizens of Vlore safer today, just because Edi Rama has become a TV show producer? Does the youth of Vlore have more jobs? Do the senior citizens have higher pensions? Do families have better prices of energy and basic food? Nothing good has taken place in Vlore, since Edi Rama was elected Parliament Member in their city, and Prime Minister of Albania. With this show not only they are not hiding the difficult economic situation, but they are also showing the failure of the Prime Minister and the Parliament Member of Vlore”, declared the Democratic Party spokesperson, Laura Vorpsi.
