The Socialist Party is holding its national assembly for analyzing the first 100 days of the Rama government, and their priorities for 2018.

Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that the battle for justice divided politics into two camps, one camp with the Socialist reformists who want the reform to continue, and one camp with those who fear the reform.

“We closed a very difficult year, but with a great compensation coming from Albanians, thanks to the colossal efforts in the first mandate, and the conviction created among people that the Socialist Party deserves to lead the country on its own, to prove its ability to take the Albania closer to the EU than ever. This was a historic victory in the second mandate, with the highest number of votes that SP has ever received. In the first 100 days we have realized our objectives, while there is a short time for a long volume of work”, Rama said.

“The battle for the judiciary, continuing from the past year, has divided politics in two camps: one camp with the reformists of the Socialist Party, who want to complete the judiciary reform, and one camp with those who are afraid of the reform, who are now set against the judiciary reform and against our allies. We put our ruling at risk and didn’t allow for the judiciary reform to be damaged. Our clear stance to not compromise this reform divided our paths from the ally we had during the first mandate”, Rama said.

The Prime Minister added that there are efforts from within Albania that are putting at risk the opening of EU accession negotiations.
