The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, reiterated on Facebook that the
opposition is protecting informality, while the government is protecting
common people.

“The opposition is defending informality. We are defending common people. No business should work without VAT. This means that the people will stop being defrauded. Tax on profit for small businesses will be zero, but they will have to purchase and sell every product with a receipt. No one can lie anymore to consumers and to taxes”, Rama wrote.

The Democratic Party leader responded on social networks, saying that rather than threatening small businesses who work hard to put food on the their families’ tables, Rama should tell to the Albanian people how much money he gave to oligarchs these four years: “To the oligarchs of medicine, construction, concessions, oil and telecommunication. Then he should show Albanians how much did these oligarchs pay for the state budget. But he can’t show these facts, because he would reveal a criminal truth, the robbing of common people so that Rama and his clients can become rich”, Basha said.
