Rama said that he doesn’t need international partners to intervene so that he can have dialogue with the Democratic Party. He underlined that he is open to make dialogue, but not negotiations with the June 30th elections.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, spoke in a meeting with journalists about the possibility of discussing with the opposition.
“This situation doesn’t have two sides to blame, just one. There is no symmetry in this violence. My responsibility is to do everything possible, but I cannot do anything beyond the Constitution. The state will not succumb to the blind paths of those who want to bring down the state. The Agreement of 2017 didn’t affect the rule of law. Now they are affecting the state, which belongs to everyone. Everyone must contribute”, Rama said.
“I think that our job is to be open and cooperative, and we are being cooperative with the other side, which has lost its path. But we will not negotiate the Constitution and the state”, Rama said.
