The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, posted a picture on Facebook
taken from an energy substation. Rama says that this is the typical
example of energy thefts by businesses.

Rama describes the photo with the text: “An operation against energy thieves in Tirana. Big businesses paid as much energy as a bakery”.

One day ago, during an inspection of the 4.1 MW hydropower plant in the Rrapun River, Librazhd, the Albanian Prime Minister declared that the operation against the stealing of electricity will not stop and that the electricity price will be reduced after the stabilization of the entire system.

“There is no doubt that the operation will continue, without any compromise, without tolerance, without looking left of right. Whoever will steal electricity will not be able to co-exist with us in the freedom of this society. Everyone must pay what they consume, so that we can enter another phase, that of reducing the price”, Rama declared.
