The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said this Thursday on Top Story
that Albania expects a positive recommendation for the negotiations, and
that the date will be announced only after the Vetting Law enters in
effect, which is currently blocked at the Constitutional Court.
Rama spoke about the coalition, and said that in the next elections, he expects to have three parties in alliance.
For the Prime Minister, the opposition is the one blocking the opening of negotiations. The Constitutional Court, according to Rama, is in conflict of interest with the Vetting case. However, Rama said, he has not lost trust on the Court.
When asked if he think that Greece may block Albania’s integration, Rama said he hopes not.
During this interview Rama spoke about the next elections, the opposition’s requests about the Justrice Reform and the future coalition.
The PM underlined once again the Russian strategy to extend their influence in Balkan, now that the EU seems fatigued with the expansion. When asked if he would ever meet with Putin, Rama said it has never been part of their program, but, if it was, he would surely meet him.
