Rama on Mayor Rroshi’s resignation: “We respect the law, don’t protect anyone”

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said that people who have been
sentenced will not receive support from the Socialist Party, despite
their public post.

“Although Rroshi did not serve any single day for that sentence given when he was a minor, it will not change anything”, Rama says, adding that Rroshi’s criminal records were clean when he ran for Kavaja.

The Prime Minister said that the opposition is avoiding the decriminalization law, and Rroshi’s resignation proves that his government never interferes with justice.
