On the first day of the new academic year, the Albanian Prime Minister; Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj; and the Minister of Education, Lindita Nikolla, attended the inauguration ceremony of the Kosova school. The school was rebuilt from scratch years after it was closed and then ruined.
Rama said that for the education they haven’t done enough, but they have laid the foundations of a radical transformation.
“We are laying the base for a radical transformation. The results will be seen soon. One thing is certain. This is the foundation of a radical transformation, after years of chaos. This year starts with free books for children from first year to the fourth. This is a sign of radical change. Not only with the structure, but also with texts, teachers, the entire way how the program is being built”, Rama said.
PM Rama promised that there will be 17 new schools in Tirana, many will be built by foreign architects.
