“It would be betraying Albanians if I wouldn’t leave Kosovo outside my
speech in Belgrade”, declared the Albanian Prime Minister on Top
Channel’s program “Top Story”.

Rama commented the critics that were made to him by the opposition.

“It would be betraying the Albanians not making that appeal in Belgrade. Every word was carefully thought with self-awareness. We didn’t consult it with the international community because I didn’t go there as UN General Secretary, but as Prime Minister of Albania”, the Prime Minister declared.

Rama said that this visit was prepared in details and it reached its goal through the signing of several agreements.

“Those agreements had been rejected earlier by the Albanian side because they were very general. After some discussions we reached a consensus for the recognition of diplomas. This si good news for the Albanian students from the Presheva Valley. During the interview Rama declared that they had realized some polls before the visit.

“Most of the people were either against or skeptical and those who said that we should go was a minority. There are times when the majority agrees. It is important that those who lead take the responsibility to lead, rather than follow the moods of the moment”, Rama declared.

The Prime Minister answered to the questions about the declarations of the Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla, who said that a current minister is under investigation and that he could be arrested.

“I don’t know anything about this, but I can say that I will support any decision of the Prosecution for arresting any high-rank official of the present or the past. If the people in questions deserve prison, then so it will be. We cannot go on like this anymore”, Rama declared.
