The employment figures through the Employment Offices opened during
2014, have made the government enthusiastic for their functionality.

During the inauguration of an office in Lac, the first one in Northern Albania, the Albania Prime Minister declared the number of new jobs formalized during the past year.

“There are 92521 more people registered for the social insurance. People who have been employed recently or who used to be slaves of the black market”, Rama declared.

For Minister Erion Veliaj, the government’s effort for employment goes in parallel with the fight against informality in the job market.

“We are drafting a law that will enable companies to pay delayed social insurance by March 31st, by reducing 80% of their fines for delays in social insurance”, Veliaj declared.

Edi Rama declared that the most difficult and most real challenge of the Albanian government is employment. He said that this is why they increased the job creation fund with 4.5 million USD.

“We expect this fund to create 5500 to 6000 jobs”, Rama declared.

“Every Municipality will have an employment office and will publish their figures during 2014. These offices create the right conditions for anyone who wants a job to seek for one and even find it”.

During a visit in Northern Albania, the Prime Minister stopped in Lezhe, where he inspected some projects together with Minister Eglantina Gjermeni. They inspected the reconstruction project of a 4-store building in the city center, built in the sixties; they inspected the reconstruction of 36 houses of the Roma community and the progress of the works for the urban requalification of centers. Works for the revitalization of the Beselidhja square have started a few months ago.
