The government coalition had a meeting this Friday, after which Edi Rama
and Ilir Meta rejected voices for colder situation between each other.

“Don’t expect anything else rather than increasing the determination for the reforms and for consolidating this coalition. Don’t expect anything of what you have fantasized about. The force of this coalition is decided by the results, the elections, the reform progress, the progress report, etc”, Rama declared.

“Don’t think there is a crisis of this coalition. Don’t base anything on the doctor’s (Berisha’s) Facebook appeals. The coalition is stable and is working constructively”, Meta declared.

As for the meeting of the coordination unit, the two leaders noted it focused on the European Commission progress report, which they considered the best in years.

Meta hopes that the government, Parliament and all institutions will answer to the progress-report with a more determined engagement.

As for the resignation of Nasip Naco and his replacement as Minister of Justice by Ylli Manjani, the two coalition leaders said this movement will serve as a push for the reforms.

“The other Minister has been elected to push the justice reform and create the necessary conditions for the dialogue that is opened today, for a wider involvement of the interest group”, Rama declared.

“Naco decided on his own for his resignation. Any change was made while consulting the Prime Minister, since he is the one deciding”, Meta added.

Meta underlined for the draft law for slander that the press freedom has never been and never will be damaged.

“Our initiative is that anyone elected by the people cannot use this opportunity to slander. The media freedom will remain intact, while those who slander will face the law”, Rama declared.
