Rama meets WB president

During his visit in New York, the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, met with the World Bank President, Jim Yong Kim.

In this meeting in which they discussed  the challenges and priorities of the new, was present also the British former Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

After this meeting Rama declared that very soon his cabinet will establish a special structure for the government priorities. 

“It is significant that the World Bank President is directly interested to support Albania thanks to the program and agenda of our government. Together with Prime Minister Blair we will bring to life a special structure that will help reaching the results and passing every program in the process. This is a very important moment for the World Bank, which with a group of leaders areound the planet is trying to implement a new program that our government will also follow”, Rama declared.

Former British Prime Minister Blair, who will advise Rama, declared that the meeting was excellent and new challenges are waiting for the Albanian government.

“We had an excellent meeting with Mr.Rama and the World Bank, to see how we can help the new Albanian government to bring the change that all Albanians are hoping to see. The country is facing great challenges and a lot of work, and the Prime Minister has an energetic and determined program that gives many hopes.  I think that the presence of the World Bank gives us hope that we are working on the right track, and this was a very constructive, excellent and important meeting for the future of our country”, Blair declared.
