Turkey will be a strategic partner together with Italy and Greece, if
the left parties will win elections in Albania. The Socialist Party
leader, Edi Rama, met with the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Taip
Erdogan, and updated him with the ambitious Revival program.

The Socialist Party press release says that Rama informed Erdogan about the determination to establish a transformation process in Albania and modernize the economy, the government and public services, underlining that for the first time Turkey is being considered as a strategic partner.

Rama expressed his admiration for Erdogan’s achievements in the fight against corruption and unemployment; for stopping the ruin of health and education, and for transforming the Turkish economy and society. He asked Mr.Erdogan further support to bring Albania’s modernizing agenda forward.

Erdogan expressed his pleasure to visit our country, and the respect for the Albanian people. He confirmed his readiness to help Albania’s economic development and the fight against poverty and unemployment.

After the meeting Rama wrote on his Twitter account that the best memory from this visit was the book that Prime Minister Erdogan gave him with the dedication: “To the dear Edi Rama, my best wishes for success. T.Erdogan”.
