The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, together with Minister Arben
Ahmetaj went to Vienna for an official one-day visit, where they met
with the Austrian President, Heinz Fischer.
As the Prime Minister’s Communication Department announces, Prime Minister Rama thanked President Fischer for the constant help that Austria has given to Albania. Rama updated the Austrian President with the reforms undertaken by the Albanian government, especially in the fight against organized crime and corruption.
Another important topic of this conversation was Albania’s European integration, a process for which President Fischer offered Austria’s support. Fischer congratulated Prime Minister Rama for the work made so far, and announced his visit in Tirana within 2014. Today, Rama will hold a speech at Vienna’s economic forum.
