The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, expressed his concern about the
bribe phenomenon in the education system. Rama said that his government
will destroy corruption in education without sparing anyone.

“What happened in Lushnje is not an isolated accident, but the tip of an iceberg that we will destroy without sparing anyone”, Rama declared.

The Prime Minister declared that an important feature of the education reform is removing the right of Education Director to hire teachers. This decision will be taken within the year, Rama said.

“No Head of an Education Directory will be allowed to appoint or fire teachers”, Rama declared. He promised that the battle against corruption will not spare anyone, not even support of his party, not like his predecessors did.

“This will be our parallel battle. We will promote it each day and we will not spare anyone. We will not spare not even people of our government, who, for staying in power, preferred to postpone the facing of our country’s problems and allowed them to take the entire organism”, Rama underlined.

The Prime Minister gave these declarations during an activity for evaluating the best schools of our country. The Minister of Education, Lindita nikolla, declared that the Lushnje Education Director was not appointed through a competition.
