Rama: Judiciary reform, vital operation for Albania

One day after the one-month procedure of the Judiciary Reform
Commission, for which the international community addressed strong
messages to the Albanian political class, Prime Minister Edi Rama
declared on Facebook that it is vital for Albania to go through this
reform. He praised the encouraging results of this Commission and the
contribution of Albanian and international experts, who, according to
Rama, conducted a work without being politically influenced.
Rama said that for the first time in 25 years, we finally have a real radical reform of the judiciary system, which he called as more degraded than the energy system. “We will use the same determination to remove the biggest cancer of corruption, accumulated by governments in the past years”, Rama declared.
He adds that the diagnose of the Judiciary Reform COmmission gives us the historic opportunity to make this change real, and base the biggest political will on the further work of experts, and pass in Parliament the entire legal structures proposed by them within next Autumn, since this is a vital operation for Albania. “Thanks to their work we will overthrow the judiciary that has suffocated our state for years”, Rama writes on Facebook.
