During the World Governance Summit in Dubai, on the role of technology in governance challenges, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that for the next five years, he believes that Albania will be a member of the EU.
Among other things, he added that technology will not be able to replace the nature of Albania and the good things that the country offers.
The former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, with whom Rama held the conversation, said that the Prime Minister is one of the leaders in the world that he admires.
PM Rama said: “In the ideal scenario for five years, I would like Albania to be a country that behaves and works as a member of the EU. Then it will officially be part of the EU and this is about technology, but also not about it.
“We were talking earlier about where this technology will go and what will happen, but for one thing I don’t know if technology will never be able to replace, it’s the sun, rivers, valleys, beaches and wonderful, mountains, lakes and the hospitality of Albanian citizens. I want to tell everyone to come to Albania and there will have better ideas on how technology can complement the natural blessing that Albania has, despite its difficult history”, Rama said among other things.
