The Istanbul attacks impacted today’s press release between the Albanian and Turkish Prime Ministers.

After expressing condolences for the victims, they spoke about bilateral cooperation, with Rama saying they need to increase.

“We have seen with pleasure the things that tie us together and we have found that the potential to make more is extraordinary. Together with PM Yildirim we are committed to take forward this intensive process of cooperation for further exchanges in economy, trade, education and culture, making what we tell about our countries be not more than what we realize in economy and trade”, Rama said.

After the Istanbul attacks, Rama reinforced Albania’s promise to stand by Turkey and the anti-terror.

“Those who put Turkey today mourning, will never put obstacles to this blessed country, and will not stop the power of dreams and hopes of all of us who are united in this human-loving table Turkey and Albania have been sitting in for a long time now”, Rama added.

The Turkish PM thanked Albania for the support and said that no terror act will divide both countries. He also underlined the importance of reinforcing economic cooperation.
