Rama in Presheve, talks about human rights, education and recognitio of Albanian diplomas

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared in Presheva that the
rights of every Albanian are untouchable, regardless of where they live.
Rama said that a new history page was open between Albania and Serbia.
He underlined that now we have the responsibility to not allow the new
generations of Albanians and Serbs to inherit the traumas and traumatic
consequences of the past.

“We are convinced that we had a historic opportunity today to return a stable peace as part of the region”, Rama declared.

Considering minorities as a connecting bridge between countries, Rama underlined that speaking the language of Brussels is not enough to be Euroepan to the end, but the minorities should also be allowed to learn their language.

The Albanian Prime Minister underlined in a meeting at the Palace of Culture in Presheva that the Albanian people are not in a battle for a Greater Albania, but for a Greater Europe.”

Rama declared that after meeting with his counterpart, Alexandar Vucic, he signed an agreement for a mutual recognition of diplomas.

“We have opened a new page for everyone who wants to work in his profession in Serbia with a diplomat obtained in Albania. The Albanian diplomat will be recognized in Serbia”, Rama declared.

Rama visited the Presheva Commune, where he received the title “Citizen of Honor”.

“I am aware about the situation, the sacrifice and poverty. We will defend the interests of our brothers and sisters in these lands. The obligation is even bigger after this honor. Now I feel as one of the citizens of these territories”, Rama declared in the meeting held at the Presheva Communial Council.

While there is music in front of the Palace of Culture, the Serbian police has created some security cordons. The entire valley was surrounded by police officers.

With his visit to Presheva, Rama concludes his visit in Serbia. He will turn to Albania by car.
