24 hours after the Socialist Party leader announced the names of the new
Ministers, he held the first consulting meeting with some of them.
The meeting lasted for more than one hour, in which Edi Rama left a series of tasks to the new Ministers.
Sources from the Socialist Party declared that the next Prime Minister asked the Ministers to start working for building the respective cabinets, including the creation of structures for every ministry.
One day ago Edi Rama declared: “We want to start working since the first day, not to start by getting to know the work that is awaiting us”.
The Prime Minister declared that “the new Ministers should receive their tasks and get to know the content of their work. They must think and the work together for the divisions that are needed for the existing ministries”.
The meeting of this Thursday was made exactly for this. The new Socialist ministers have released no comment for the journalist, and Rama met only with the Socialist Party ministers, not the one of the Socialist Movement for Integration.
Sources from the Socialist Party say that the new government will continue with similar meetings before they take their oath. The next government will have one deputy Prime Minister, 16 Ministers and three Ministers without a portfolio.
