Rama explains fiscal package

Rama declared that the opposition is trying to spread fear among the people, as a desperate attempt to blur the public’s view on the radical changes that the government will bring to the economy.

The Prime Minister gave explanations and opposed the claims of the opposition regarding the oil price.

“It is completely untrue that the 10 ALL increase will bring a general price increase. 10 ALL will not influence prices, but they will only increase the service toward citizens and to improve the health service. As we have said, we are going towards a free health care system”, Rama declared.

The Minister of Economic Development, Arben Ahmetaj, guaranteed the Albanian citizens that the bread price will not increase.

“The goal of this tax is that the 10 ALL will not burden the common citizen. The bread price will not increase. Its price might fall due to the reduced tax for the small business. The fear that Berisha is trying to spread, is only a fear from the success and kept promises, nothing else”, Ahmetaj declared.

According to the Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka, our environment is very polluted.

“We cannot enter Europe with these standards. For this reason, we should impose taxes on the biggest polluters”.

“While the carbon tax is one of those that needs to be established, don’t forget that cars used to have 20% water. Now people will be able to go for more kilometers with one liter. The worse that we had was the oil quality, not the additional 10 ALL”, Koka declared.

Rama declared that governing is like the administering of a house that was left by Berisha deep in debts.

“We cannot burden our family by telling everyone to pay more, even those who are unemployed or those who live with only one salary, so that we can pay debts that were inherited to us same as the first time, when they burned our houses with the pyramid scheme”.
