Rama: Energy system, a ticking bomb

The government leader made this explanation by saying that there has been a malicious encouragement by the opposition to increase the social dissatisfaction, while they are the ones responsible for allowing this collapse.

“You all must know that we will not increase the energy price as a reform instrument. We will remove the price limit as a shield that is being exploited today not by the families in need, but by thieves. We will not remove this limit by leaving all the weight on pensioners or families that cannot pay more for energy. We will pay the energy for them, as an obligation that comes from the removal of this limit. We will see it in this Parliament how it will happen”, Rama declared.

“The energy system is in agony and risks exploding as a bomb”, Rama declared.

“If we do not face this problem today with this reform, it will be more difficult to face it in the next years. We will be forced to either use all the state’s budget for the energy, or citizens will have to pay even more for this irresponsibility”, Rama declared.

Rama added that the electricity bill is high enough to build 150 new schools, or 6 regional hospitals, pave 100 kilometers of national words and equal to the revenues of the Tax on Profit from businesses in one year.

This robbery, according to Rama, is done in cooperation with Court and it includes even the newest one, the Administrative Court. Rama said that this has turned into an extension of the most lucrative corporate in Albania, the judiciary system, as he called it. Rama’s message was that the punishment for stealing energy is only prison. Rama concluded his speech in Parliament by warning a wide operation throughout Albania.

“After a few days, the state police will be part of this operation. All illegal connections will be treated like the drugs in Lazarat. Everything with start with the biggest ones, with those that steal energy for profit, not with families. They consume as much as an entire neighborhood”, Rama declared.
