The Albanian Parliament discussed this Thursday about the Vetting law,
with PM Rama accusing the opposition of intentionally blocking it.
“It is clear that you don’t want the vetting law. But nobody imagined that you would return it for translations. You are blaming the translation. You don’t want the Justice Reform. But there is nothing you can do. You will vote it and you will pay for the delay”, Rama said.
The PM added that the opposition is becoming anti-Albanian, by also fearing the Vetting Law.
“This is a clear act against our nation. You are blocking the implementation of a reform that Albanians have been waiting for in the past 25 years”, Rama said.
Berisha answered by saying that the Vetting Law is not a condition. The condition, according to him, is consensus in the justice reform.
“The lady in Germany said that internal politics, consensus, is the condition for opening the negotiations. This is the main reason. Listen to what the representative said yesterday at the European Parliament. Another condition is the crime. There are several Internal Ministries of member countries who are against “, Berisha said.
