Rama defends Waste Import Law

PM Rama defended the waste import law, recently amended by his majority,
saying it offers guarantee and security, different from the law drafted
by the previous government.
He said that the government will remove the 50 ALL tax for kg of plastic waste, and will not change the 100 ALL tax for imported waste.
The Socialist MP, Besnik Bare, accused the former DP government of failing to create any model for the waste import in eight years.
According to Bare, today’s government has the possibility to analyze the capacities of all companies from this industry, inspect every imported waste material through the inspectorate and implement the harshest penalties.
