The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, spoke about the violent protest on the Nation’s Road. He accused media outlets of abusing with the event, and added that there will be lower prices for the residents of Kukes. Rama also responded to the invitation of the Kukes Mayor to meet and talk. They will meet this Monday.
“Will citizens who complain about a higher price, we will behave as our vision require: we will listen to them very carefully and explain the truth about the lies that were told by media charlatans”, he said.
For Rama, the violent language will take a response in the local elections of next June.
“The people of Albania and of Kukes have nothing to do with this ugly image. We will respond from Kukes and all over Albania. The language of fire and boots will receive a response next June, an even more exemplary than the last one. Altogether with the media rubbish bins, they can do nothing more than using a minority to attempt turmoil, to create fires in every sector of life for Albanians every time they are in power. This is the ugly truth that most of Albanians know about them. Most of Albanians know that the Albania we want cannot be done with fairy tales, with lies, but with deep reforms, sometimes painful. The fate of the miserable politics of fairy tales and fires, with boots in their hands, is written to the past. Kukes cannot turn into cannon fodder for the fire that these burned out figures of Albanian politics want to light up in Tirana”, Rama said.
