Rama: Berisha must stop taking decisions

In the first Parliamentary meeting of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama
asked everyone to take their responsibilities for what he called “a
giant challenge of this mandate” that one million Albanians trusted
them.

Considering the next two months as very important, the next Prime Minister of Albania appealed the incumbent Prime Minister to stop the project that according to Rama is ruining Albania.

“We will cancel every decision for expenses that go beyond the normal costs of a caretaker government in a power transition phase. We will undo every decision for tenders, privatizations and concessions taken after the June 23rd elections, with the tradition of these years: ‘let’s take what we can, constantly’. I am obliged to appeal businessmen to not get involved in any new relation that involves money or properties in this ghost government”, Rama declared.

Referring to yesterday’s meeting with Governor Fullani, Rama declared that he asked the planning of an evaluation plan for the financial system, together with the international partners and the International Monetary Fund. The new government and the Albanian public need to know the truth of the country’s finances”, Rama underlined.

Regardless the several assumptions from the media about the next “Rama” government, the next Prime Minister rejected them by saying that they have not discussed arrived at the names and the division of ministries. First they will establish the principles of a good governing, in order to guarantee the public that the team will be created in all levels and responsibilities will be shared. Rama promised that they will not divide the power into parcels and people in “them” and “us”.

The Socialist Party leader declared that he is not happy with the President’s latest decisions at the High Council of Justice, but he is ready to cooperate with President Nishani, since institutional conflict is not part of his agenda.

“I agree with the great concern that was created among the public opinion when several judges who have caused despair among the national and international public with some important trials, were recently promoted in higher posts. I am determined to work with patience in order to build a new institutional cooperation and communication between the Prime Minister and the Albanian President, and also between the new government and a state leader that has been elected by the old majority. The time of government aggression and vulgar rhetoric ended on the June 23rd elections, together with the era of my predecessor”, Rama declared.

Rama mentioned his expectancies from the Prosecutor.

“We were not voted to involve the government in the trenches of a political war against a Prosecution that has done nothing so far to deserve a positive evaluation from us. I made it clear to the General Prosecutor that we will government against corruption and impunity culture. I reiterated our strong will to fight together with the Prosecution and with the Prosecutor personally in the battle against crime, in every level and for every period”, Rama declared.

After these declarations Rama hinted that there will be no initiatives to replace the leaders of Constitutional institutions, saying that he will not do what Berisha did.
