The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, made a balance of his meetings in New York, for the UN Assembly.

“We can feel good for the fact that it was a good chance to express our thoughts, and to identify the evolution that the role of Albania and our foreign policy has brought for the image of our country. We received special respect. I make this comparison with two years ago, when I was in New York and the government had just been formed. We had the possibility to contribute and we have been valued for what Albania has done during this time, and for what we have done contributed in this special session, for the fact that in this session we agered for the development agenda of the next 15 years”, the Prime Minister declared.

Rama explains during this interview why he insisted for the recognition of Kosovo.

“This is an obligation for anyone who represents Albania in international forums, but also the recognition of Ksoovo in the UN would help the peace process.

Rama spoke about his meetings with the Albanian diaspora and the proposition for holding a summit.

Rama said that his government has worked for a new approach with the diaspora, especially through a cooperation project started with the International Development Center of Harvard.
