Edi Rama has confirmed, although not directly, his fourth candidacy for Tirana’s Mayor Office.
The official candidacy was expected to be announced this Monday by the Socialist Party, but according to Rama, his desire was not to give his rivals a bad news on a sunny day.
“This was a beautiful day, starting with peace rituals for me, and now is about to end by meeting Kosovo’s new president, whom I have the honor to welcome in Tirana’s Mayor Office. For the sake of this marvelous sun, allow me not to worry Berisha with any bad news today.” Rama said.
Edi Rama’s first run for the Mayor’s Office was in 2000, succeeding the democrat Albert Brojka. After Besnik Mustafaj, Spartak Ngjela – today an ally, and Sokol Olldashi in 2007, this time seems that it is Lulëzim Basha’s turn to compete against Edi Rama for the Mayor’s Office.
