PM Rama was part of the inauguration ceremony of a private hospital,
where he presented the government project for improving the health
system.

“We want to do with the Health Care what we did with education. It is necessary to guarantee competition through a unified procedure of accrediting, reevaluation and health information exchange. All this should be done through a unified structure, with equal treatment for private and public hospitals”, Rama said.

According to Rama, hospital autonomy is the right step for the public health system, as “the only intensive cure to return state hospitals into decision-making enterprises, and with an independent management by the Health Ministry”.

“We will continue to cooperate with the private sector for building the infrastructure, but also for basic services in hospitals. And we believe that the private structures have the potential to turn into partner structures”, Rama said.
