The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, visited the citizens of Tropoja,
saying that it is the best example of cooperation between the government
and municipality.
“For us, Tropoja stands above the parties. It is a meaningful example of the fact that we have no prejudice about Mayors. Other municipalities have Mayors staying in their offices, waving the DP flag. The Mayor has done a lot of work here, because he had my personal support. But I want to tell democrats and socialists today that if you vote Lulzim Basha, you will remain without a Mayor as well”, Rama said from Tropoja.
Rama didn’t spare jokes from the birthplace of Sali Berisha, former Democratic Party leader.
“I know Berisha has said many things about me during the past 25 years, but today we compete with the work done from Tropoja. If you compare us with that, it would be like comparing Real with Kukes”, the Prime Minister said.
Rama told Tropoja citizens that Democratic and Socialist parties are no enemies.
“We are in a good political phase where all democrats have the good example that they are not our enemy. Who saved Lulzim Basha and took your party out of the protest tent? Berisha, or me? We gave you the right to vote on June 25th”, Rama said.
Once again, he asked citizens for a full mandate on June 25th, so that they can rule the country without anyone else trying to move the driving wheel. He advised them to not vote for smaller parties.
