Prime Minister Edi Rama apologized for the decoration of Shyqyri Coku,
former Secret Service agent. But he said the Albanian government has
decorated him for the veteran status, which was given to him when Sali
Berisha was President.
“I apologize, but his decoration did not start last year, but many years ago. The Ministry of Defense followed a mechanical action. The medals were given to the first category, decided by law years ago. Berisha is focusing on the medal, but he has given a special pension to this person for 25 years. These are monstrous accusations to trouble those who suffered communist prosecution”, Rama said in Shkoder, during the SP tour “Let’s clean Albania”.
Rama added that Berisha follows the philosophy and method of the Communist party, he simply accuses without new ideas. He spoke about the DP attack against the museum bunker.
“It is not a bunker, but the symbolic entrance of a museum. It is crazy to say it was attacked for being ugly. No party or logic of force decides what is ugly or beautiful”, Rama said.
