Rama and Panariti visit agricultural export plant

150 million ALL were used for increasing the capacity with two new depots, which were visited by Prime Minister Rama.

The Minister of Agriculture, Edmond Panariti, declared that these closed-cycle processing units are an added value to the Albanian agriculture.

“The challenge is that the supply must come from local farmers. We encourage meat production from our farms. This investment is a good signal in this direction, since it makes the connection with the market. These units for collection, processing and packaging give the added value”, Panariti declared.

Prime Minister Rama declared that these examples need to be promoted, since farmers are a national priority for this government, which applies new policies for making the countryside leave working for surviving and stop having electoral pittance.

“The growth of all production links around these structures is safe, since everyone has a referring point. On the same time, it is very important for everyone to know that we are helping those who want to be part of the battle for leaving the middle-age behavior in farms and start new relations. We are funding schemes that bring success. There will be more profit, more employment, more export and we will not have to distribute money around, which will be lost in the big river of survival”, Rama declared.

Suela Popa, Director of the Agency of Agricultural and Rural Development, says that this scheme will continue in the next year.

“In 2015 we will double the schemes that not only will close the cycle, but will also increase the added value of our country. Our purpose is to raise exports and reach the European standards. Our challenge is to train the Albanian farmers, because, besides the government funds, Albania will also have an important investment portfolio from the EU”, Popa declared.
