In a conference organized by President Bujar Nishani, on the National
Day of Youth, which marks the fall of the communist regime 25 years ago,
former PM Edi Rama and other exponents of the majority, met with
representatives of the diplomatic corpus and European Parliament
Members.

Former Prime Minister Berisha said that Albania was the most isolated communist country in Europe 25 years ago, and now Albania has taken the path to be part of the EU family.

Berisha said that Albania is facing today even more challenges, especially corruption and organized crime, phenomena that according to him need to be removed as soon as possible.

PM Rama said that Albania had the most barbarian communist regime in Europe, and Albania must build its future by taking the example of the European institutional history.

“We have not reached that level yet when the opponent is admitted as part of the diversity. Today we are not in a time of political elimination, as it used to be during the dictatorship. It is a daily recycling of the political reality, a reflection of the past”, the Prime Minister added.
