“UEFA mori një vendim që nuk bën drejtësi për çka ndodhi në stadiumin e
Beogradit”. Po aq i zemeruar si shumë shqiptarë deklaroi se ishteK
ryeministri shqiptar Edi Rama nga vendimi i UEFA-s.

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said that the UEFA decision didn’t condemn ethnic racism, and there is only one reason for this, according to him: “UEFA wanted to equalize the blame for both teams. UEFA wanted to give a message to both teams by penalizing them almost equally, because I am sure that the Serbian part will also play the victim after this decision. But this is not justice, because Albania doesn’t deserve to be equalized after what happened in front of everyone”, Rama said.

The Albanian government leader expressed his conviction that the UEFA decision was political.

“UEFA gave a political decision that has nothing to do with Albania’s foreign policy or with the foreign policy of the EU. It is stupid to think about this. This is about the internal policy of UEFA, which is a country of its own”, Rama underlined.

For the Albanian Prime Minister, Albania can follow only one right path.

“There is only one path for Albania, the path that is being followed by the Albanian Football Federation. That path is continuing to fight for justice in other phases. The evidence is in favor of our side”, Rama declared.

The Albanian Prime Minister gave another good news about sport, that of the construction of the Shkoder Stadium. He promised that the return match with Serbia will be played there.

“Today I have taken a decision for the new Olympic stadium of Shkoder, with all UEFA parameters. This stadium should have at least 20.000 Albanian hearts”, Rama declared.

When asked if the visit to Belgrade could be friendly, Rama said that everyone holds his own responsibilities about their own words, behavior and own dignity. “You can imagine who is higher in this”, Rama declared.
