There where Albania’s chemical weapons were disposed in 2007, the situation is very calm.
There’s no other movement besides soldiers who guard the object and stop people from filming it. Inside the giant base there are only some containers and cisterns.
A few meters from Qafe Molla there are some houses, which, according to residents, were there even during the dismantling process. Residents say that they have never had any problem in people, animals or vegetation.
When asked about the arrival of Syria’s chemical weapons in that base, residents held different reactions. Some said they were afraid because of the huge quantity, others say that there would be no problem.
Residents say that almost every hose in Qafe Molle has containers where chemical weapons were used during the disposal process, and now are used for water. They say that no one has had any health system.
