Putin extends sanctions for Albania

Vladimir Putin signed a presidential decree that extends sanctions
against countries that opposed Russia and imposed economic sanctions
against them, after the events in Ukraine and the illegal annexation of
Crimea.

Putin signed a decree on June 30th which extends the period of sanctions until December 31st, against the USA, the EU, Canada, Australia, Norway, Ukraine, Albania, Montenegro, Iceland and Lichtenstein, which are not allowed to export agricultural products to Russia, or raw materials for the industry.

This is the second time Kremlin extends the decree of 2014, which was a counter-response to countries which united against Russia’s annexation of Crimea.

This comes in a time when the USA have foreseen other sanctions against Russia, which affect mostly the companies that supply parts for the construction and maintenance of Russian gas pipelines.
