Puka Case at court

The task unit closed the investigation and sent nine people to court for the justice scandal reported by “Fiks Fare”.

The President of the Puka Court, Shtjefen Lleshi, and the former Prosecutor Pellumb Prenci will be tried under house arrest measures. The five other defendants will be held in prison. The Prosecution has included even the people who reported this story, but they will ask the Tirana Court to exclude them from the criminal trial.

The Prosecutors’ declaration says that everything started on April 15th, 2013, when the police arrested six members of the Pjetri family. In June, Pal Pjetri was under arrest measure due to his participation in a protest. He has appointed a meeting on the phone with judge Shtjefen Lleshi. Lleshi asked him 200.000 ALL for resolving the situation, and then changed the arrest measure with obligation to appear in court.

Pjetri asked the judge to release his two sons, his two brothers and his nephew, but the judge declared that he would not release anyone from prison before the elections, due to the situation. Pjetri has made a request for changing his arrest measure through his lawyer, Fran Dashi, and that’s when he contacted the chancellor and the judge, who asked 2000 USD for the judge and 2000 for the Prosecutor. The money was paid in presence of the chancellor and the secretary.

But after his relatives were not released, Defrim Prenci has promised to interfere at the Supreme Court, introducing Pjetri with Feriz Xhurxhi, who asked 50.000 ALL for each family member. The Supreme Court has decided to reject the recourse of October 3th 2013. Xhezair Zaganjori, President of the Supreme Court, has not been part of the Judge Panel, rejecting this way the accusations mentioned during the video registration.
