Public order, Basha: We are in a national emergency

The Democratic Party considers the lack of public order and security in
Albania as a national emergency. The dynamite explosions, robberies of
businesses and banks, and the fact that the police has not found those
responsible, according to Basha is related to a bad and failed
government, and because of their cooperation with crime.

Basha says that two actions are needed for giving a solution to the situation. One comes from the government, the other from citizens.

“We must demand that high-rank official who have ties with the crimes should be removed. This is the best way to return security. But we do not have the illusion that this government fights the crime. The final solution is to have this government go away. We will do this through the citizens”, Basha declared.

The opposition leader did not exclude protests, but he didn’t mention a date. This means that this is the first time that the Democratic Party is not organizing a protest on February 20th, the day when the dictator’s statue was toppled.

“If there were a lot of us on November 22nd, there will be much more in the next protest”, Basha declared,

For Basha, what matters for removing this government, is the vote in the local elections. The opposition believes that Edi Rama and Ilir Meta will be punished in the elections of June 21st for a bad government, for electoral lies and for leading the country through propaganda and demagogy.

“The time of protest is getting closer. The time of citizens who decide with vote if they want this model or if they refuse it, is getting closer. As an opposition, we expect the time of truth, believing that this is a refusal for the government, a lesson for their lies”, Basha declared.
